Artists I commissioned are adding to my generally bad mood... If I seem grumpy it is because I am in a bad mood (for various reasons...)
Okay, one artist I didn’t have to pay yet, but she confirmed commission and said she would get to me once she has time… that was 3 months ago… that’s not what I consider commissions to work like.
Yes, I know, no financial loss and all, but I had the money at that point and even backed it up a while but now, with the new textbooks I need I don’t have the money available and asked to cancel the commission since it seems she doesn’t want to do it… but so far I haven’t heard back (but she is posting personal art, so she is still around…)
I thought if people open commission slots it means they would have some time... I am still a student. I don't have commission money available all the time.
And another commission, that had been ordered as a Christmas gift for a friend is still not here even though I already got a sketch and approved of it and she said it would be done soon... that was really a while ago in February...
I won’t order commissions anymore. No matter how reliable people say the commissioned artists are. And then I wonder why people are so suspicious about getting commissions…
that’s also the reason I keep in touch with my commissioners about each and every step and do my best to finish commissions in a short time with the best possible result…
Maybe I am grumpy and unfair ... but really. If I order something I would like to get it sooner rather than later. If you order something at amazon you want it asap, too and not feel like "sorry customer, we didn't feel like working for half a year, can we send your order in well... next year?"
